Our

In the legislative area, these include design, implementation and/or assistance

assisting in drafting and enacting legal reform legislation;

providing publications to assist citizen groups in overseeing local
government spending;

assisting in developing systems of alternative dispute resolution;

publishing procedures manuals for local government staff;

conducting workshops on implementing decentralization programs;

assisting in drafting campaign finance reform regulations;

and conducting observational training visits for judicial and legislative
members and their staff;

SUNY/CID
also supports private enterprise in emerging markets with the following

these centers to provide much needed services such as consulting and
training on a wide-scale basis to local communities

MBA programs at universities and colleges
- assisting
businesses in obtaining investment
- providing
micro-credit loans and leases to small businesses

government officials on strategies to promote economic growth
- publishing
materials for entrepreneurs to utilize in strengthening their businesses
- creating
and making available valuable resources for business people via the
internet
- creating
and operating business incubators to help start-up businesses succeed
and
- developing
and conducting seminars, either in the U.S. or internationally, on virtually
every aspect of doing business.
Environment,
Health and Education:
SUNY/CID
training services related to the areas of Environment, Health and Education
include:

(SUNY/CID has facilitated participant training and professional exchanges
in over 50 countries)

area-specific training agendas targeted at impacting public policy

capacity of NGOs
- strengthening
the accountability and transparency of NGOs

specialized courses in partner countries to address areas neglected
by the traditional educational system

short intensive courses to meet the needs of working professionals

U.S. - based study tours for all manner of training needs and
