Consultants – Anti-Corruption Government Accountability Initiative Project in Serbia | SUNY/CID

The State University of New York/Center for International Development is seeking anti-corruption experts to serve as short- and long-term experts on upcoming USAID-funded Government Accountability Initiative (GAI) project in Serbia. The activity will focus on strengthening institutional capacities, mechanisms and procedures to increase government accountability at the national and local level. The project will work with a range of government institutions including independent oversight institution and local government units. This position is contingent upon funding.

Minimum requirements should include::

  • Degree in law, political science, public administration, or another relevant field required. Advance degree preferred.
  • Work experience in the field of governance specifically related to anti-corruption measures
  • Prior work experience in a developing country and on donor-funded projects.
  • Significant experience in one of the following areas, either at the national or local government level:
    • Fiscal transparency, financial accountability and anti-corruption
    • Government ethics and integrity
    • Audit and internal controls
    • Public procurement
    • Whistleblower protection
    • Institutional capacity building and organizational effectiveness
    • Capacity development of government and public officials
