Anti-Corruption Training in Bosnia and Herzegovina

Group at Table during Training

On July 28, 2017 SUNY/CID’s USAID-funded Strengthening Governing Institutions and Processes in Bosnia and Herzegovina (USAID/SGIP) and the Bosnia and Herzegovina State Ministry of Justice held a training for the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption and Coordination of the Fight against Corruption (APIK). The training covered anti-corruption principles and practices for drafting laws to eliminate loopholes for corruption. APIK is responsible for reviewing anti-corruption checklists that State level Ministries and Agencies will prepare when drafting laws; using the knowledge gained at the July 28 training, in September, APIK will help SUNY train those agencies to complete the checklists.
