Paul Mason’s international experience encompasses all aspects of economic growth, rural development, and environmental programs. Prior to joining the Center, Mr. Mason held the position of USAID Economic Growth and Environment Officer designing and overseeing competitiveness, micro/small/medium enterprise, and environmental programs in Cambodia. In addition, he has worked as a Program Manager for a USAID/OTI project and as a Senior Advisor and Team Leader for the World Bank and GTZ. Other work experience includes being an Education & Training Advisor and Farming Systems Advisor on an Australian Agency for International Development project in agricultural extension, research and development. An expert in international agricultural development and rural economics, Mr. Mason earned an associate’s degree from the College of Agriculture and Technology at Cobleskill, a bachelor’s degree from the College at Oneonta in New York, and his master’s degree from the California Polytechnic State University. His 15 years of overseas development experience includes projects in Asia, the Middle East and Oceania.
